Thursday, July 17th, 2008

There are two categories of Japanese wedding. They are traditional Shinto wedding and Western style wedding. In both the case the first step is to register the wedding at corresponding local government office. The registered certificate has to be produced during the wedding ceremony.

Shinto wedding ceremony is held at a Shinto shrine according to the Japanese traditional customs. Shinto is the native religion of Japan. It is usually done at spring and autumn seasons which are the favourites for the Japanese. Nowadays the western style wedding is more common which is held at church. This type of wedding is same as the normal western style wedding.

Vitamins from Sunlight

Monday, July 14th, 2008

It’s weird sounding, but it’s true – you can get vitamins from the sunlight. The main vitamin known to be produced from exposure to the sunlight is vitamin D. Although sunscreen is important, it also can block the reception of vitamin D. There are other sources of the vitamin, but it’s always good to get a decent amount of sunlight each day. Vitamin D is necessary for bone stability, and is known to reduce risk for any skeletal diseases. Once in the body, the vitamin is also converted to a hormone which aids in the absorption of calcium; this, in turn, also helps aid bone stability. About 500 micrograms are needed on a daily basis; up to half of these can easily be supplied through sunlight.
